What a life!!

After only 4 weeks away Stephanie has moved back home. She learnt that it's alot cheaper to live at home. She was paying board and hardly ever there. We are very glad to have her home, even though she isn't here very much!!
Stephanie and her friends went down the coast last weekend and stayed at the Marriott for her friend's 18th Birthday. On the Saturday night they hired three different limos to take them around Surfers, to the Casino and back. They had a wonderful time and came back home very tired.

Our Latest News

I've just returned from a few days down the coast with Brendan. He was playing in a gold coast soccer tournament. He played really well and had lots of fun with his team mates. We also managed to go to the beach, surf and shop!! We even saw whales from our verandah which was amazing. It was a good break for me.

Stephanie turned 18 a few weeks ago. It was very exciting and tiring. We went out to dinner on the Friday night with family and a couple of her friends which was alot of laughs.

Stephanie didn't want a party, so I organised with some of her friends for them to do the Story Bridge Climb on the Saturday. They were very excited and really enjoyed the climb.

With her friends they had booked a unit in town. They went over there after the bridge climb. She had about 30 friends come to the unit for drinks before they went officially clubbing. They had a wonderful night.

Now my baby girl is leaving home. Stephanie is moving in whith three of her friends. They are just so excited and so looking forward to it. They are all 18 and think they can do it. Tomorrow is the big day for bed and furniture. She has already started moving clothes. I think it will be a big adjustment for all of us. I really want it to work for them but I will miss her so much.

What a shock

Well I know that Debbie, Jen, Niss, Ronnie and Terri are going to get a huge shock that I am trying to finally update my blog!!!
Well in sumary I've been working at school this year and I'm the most unorganised person. I have been flat out copeing with work, cooking, grocery shopping and washing. With not much time left too scrap. I have mananged to fit in Scrapbook City's Retreat in April which was fantastic and I've already booked and paid for next year's retreat. I've also managed to go to some Friday night crops which have been alot of fun.
On the family front all is well. DH has had a job change and he is enjoying his new job alot more. DD has bought a car, working and socialising. DS is in Year 10 this year he has given up competitive swimming and is concentrating on playing soccer which he loves. He also has a part time job.
We are having a relaxing holiday with doing day outings and night taxi driving!! I've even managed to do some layouts and am actually going to do a couple of challenges at SBC.
Well that's a quick summary for now.

What An Emotional Week

Stephanie has finished High School this week. It has been very emotional for her and us with the excitement of finishing and going to schoolies to the emotion of graduation and the last day of school. Thursday night was the official graduation night which was a really good night. There were a few tears and moments of sadness with some of the speeches, then there was excitement of all the group photos.
Then Friday the Year 12's went for a farewell parade. They started off all happy and excited when they walked into the parade. It wasn't too long before the tears started. There weren't many dry eyes amongst the girls and boys, teachers and parents. It was a truly special day to remember. Then of course it was another party where they rally enjoyed themselves. They all jumped in the pool in their school uniforms and when they were dry the boys and girls swapped uniforms. They are a really good group of friends and some couples.
Now Stephanie has gone to schoolies and I haven't stopped crying much today. I didn't expect to be this emotional but I can't believe how quickly these 12 years have gone. We are very proud of Stephanie and what she has achieved so far. After this week hopefully I can relax!!

Downhill run

Well Stephanie is so excited with just over 2 weeks left of high school. If you can call it two weeks!! Next week is exam week so she only goes for 2 and 1/2 days. Then the last week she has 1 whole day, two half days and then graduation rehearsal. I just can't believe how fast these 12 years have gone. She is going down the coast for schoolies, which is a real worry. She is staying with a few friends and has lots of friends around her. I just hope she will have a wonderful time and be ok.
Brendan has done his induction for Woolworths so he is just waiting to start work next week. He is busy with cricket, indoor soccer and swimming training at the moment.
On the scrapbooking side, I have bought some kits from Rachelle and Sandra. They are absolutely beautiful. These kits are the best value for money, the girls put so much product in their kits. Now I just need to make them up!!!

What a shock

I had a bit of a set back last week.I picked up my antibiotics the week before and have been taking one a day like I normally do. I was running around like an idiot with getting last minute things ready for the formal. Finally on the Sunday I slept all day. Well it was the same Monday and Tuesday I was feeling so tired and not hungry, headaches and dizzy. When I had a rest on Wednesday I thought I was feeling like I did when I was first sick, 4 years ago. Then I remembered the chemist asking me if I normally take 6 of my tablets and I told her I only take 1 or I'd be flying. She told me my doctor had definately written 6 on the script. So Wednesday afternoon I rang hin and of course he had changed my medication without telling me and yes I should have geen taking 6 per day and not 1. He said any wonder you're feeling sick!! So I had to take stronger tablets that I still have from when I was first diagnosed and I've been taking one of them since Wednesday afternoon and am feeling alot better now.
It was so annoying to be back like that when it was through no mistake of mine.

A Big Week

It was my daughter's formal yesterday, and after a very big week it was also a very big day. Stephanie passed her driving test on Tuesday and she has been so excited about that.
Then around the corner was the formal. We had showers and did nails in the morning, then it was off to the hairdresser which took 2 hours. We were so pleased with her hair. Then it was off home to do the make-up and get dressed. She looked so beautiful. Then my family started arriving and the champagne flowed. James arrived around 5pm, he had bought Stephanie a beautiful corsage for her wrist. He is such a gentleman. Then it was photo time!!!!
Needless to say this took a while. Before we knew it the limo arrived and it was more photos by the car and they were off.
We went in for pre-dinner drinks and to see them do their red carpet entrance which was beautiful. We watched them do their first dance and it was time for parents to leave. The room looked so lovely{yes more photos}.
Then ofcouse they went to the after party and got home in the very early hours. There are some very tired, happy, hungover people today!!!!!
